New and enhanced features of the DJI Air 3 Drone Fly More Combo with DJI RC 2 make it even easier for content creators to capture complex and high-quality professional footage. The Air 3 now incorporates a dual camera system, with wide-angle and 3x medium telephoto lenses for both focusing on subjects and capturing sweeping landscapes. Both have larger 1/1.3" CMOS sensors that can capture 48MP images, video up to 4K/100, and even 2.7K social media-ready vertical video. Flight time and transmission range have been increased, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance is smoother, and pre-programmed flights are now possible with the inclusion of Waypoints. All this and more can be taken to almost any location, as the Air 3 continues to provide a compact and folding design.

Stunning Professional Video
Video up to 4K/100 is possible, in addition to 4K/60 when adding HDR, and 2.7K vertical videos. The 2.4 μm pixel size is incorporated into each of the two cameras for improved low-light performance, and two color modes are available for speedier post-processing. The 10-bit D-Log M retains more highlights and details in captured footage for more flexibility when editing, and 10-bit HLG retains a higher dynamic range for excellent results without the need for color grading.
2.7K Vertical Video
Both the wide-angle and 3x telephoto cameras are capable of recording clips in 2.7K with vertical orientation. By saving video directly to this aspect ratio, you save a ton of time in cropping, as each clip is immediately ready for sharing on social media platforms.
Flight Modes
Various pre-programmed flight modes make it easy for beginners and professionals alike to achieve complex aerial movements and tracking shots.

  • FocusTrack: Uses the obstacle avoidance system to stay safe, as it keeps subjects centered in the frame using the 3x telephoto camera.
  • QuickShots: Select from several pre-programmed camera movements to add creativity to your video: Rocket, Dronie, Circle, Helix, Boomerang, and Asteroid.
  • MasterShots: Fast and easy cinematic footage is possible with automatic complex camera movements, in addition to editing clips with music, transitions, and effects.
  • Hyperlapse: Select from Free, Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint to capture timelapse video at up to 4K (horizontally) or 2.7K (vertically). Waypoint is new to the Air 3, letting you plan flight routes and drone actions in advance. These routes are repeatable, making it possible to achieve day-to-night or season-to-season transitions.
Night Mode
Use this mode to capture noise-free footage at up to 4K/30 resolution in low-light conditions.
APAS 5.0 Obstacle Avoidance
Built-in sensors automatically detect obstacles in any direction during flight. When an object is detected, APAS 5.0 takes over to smoothly fly around the obstacle to avoid an accident.
Smart RTH
When triggered to come home, the Air 3 can automatically plot an optimized flight route back to base, while using the obstacle avoidance system to keep it safe along the way.
Additional Features
  • Up to 46 minutes of flight time
  • O4 1080p/60 video transmission from up to 12.4 miles away
  • Spotlight 2.0
  • ActiveTrack 5.0

  1. Does DJI Air 3 support the DJI Goggles Series and the DJI Motion Controller Series?
DJI Air 3 is only compatible with DJI Goggles 2, DJI Goggles Integra, DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 2, DJI RC Motion 3
  2. Does DJI Air 3 support vertical shooting?
Both the wide-angle camera and medium tele camera support vertical shooting (9:16), and the max shooting specification is 2.7K/60fps.
  3. Does DJI Air 3 support shooting D-Log M and HLG videos?
Both the wide-angle camera and medium tele camera support shooting 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG videos. 10-bit D-Log M mode facilitates more flexible color grading in post-production, and 10-bit HLG mode can achieve previews with higher dynamic range (requires equipment that supports HDR display).
  4. Which remote controllers are compatible with DJI Air 3?
DJI RC-N2 and DJI RC 2.
  5. Does DJI Air 3 support omnidirectional obstacle sensing?
    Yes.
  6. How is ActiveTrack 5.0 different from ActiveTrack 4.0?
ActiveTrack 5.0 can track subjects in eight directions, enabling more creative possibilities. Embedded with advanced subject recognition technology, ActiveTrack 5.0 uses multiple vision sensors simultaneously to recognize a subject, differentiate it from other objects, and lock the subject in the frame. It allows you to adjust tracking angles smoothly for more natural results. Thanks to the new environment and subject-sensing algorithms, DJI Air 3 responds earlier to subject movements and environmental information and plans an optimal tracking route to record smooth and stable footage.
  7. How long does it take to fully charge a DJI Air 3 Intelligent Flight Battery?
Approximately 80 minutes when charging with the connected USB-C charging cable of the DJI 65W Portable Charger. Approximately 60 minutes when charging with the DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter and DJI Air 3 Battery Charging Hub.
  8. What are the upgrades of the DJI Air 3 Battery Charging Hub compared to the previous generation?
The new battery charging hub supports the power accumulation function and an external discharge function. It also adopts an upgraded structure for convenient carrying. With the power accumulation function, you can simply press and hold the function button to transfer the remaining power from multiple batteries to the battery with the highest remaining power, enabling a longer effective flight time. With the external discharge function, you can use the battery charging hub as a power bank and output the battery power to mobile phones, tablets, and other devices through the USB-C port at a power of up to 82 W.
  9. Can I use other chargers with USB-C ports to charge the battery?
Yes. However, to ensure charging efficiency, we recommended using the DJI 65W Portable Charger, DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter, or other chargers at 60W or above that support the PD protocol.
  10. Can I charge the battery through the USB-C port on the DJI Air 3 aircraft?
    Yes.

I've wanted to fly a drone so after some time reading reviews and how to I decided on the air 3for all of it's features it's hard to beat for a beginner, the good people at Altitude Digital did a great job of helping me figure out all the different packages I decided to go with the fly more combo.
I had some problems with shoppee, they didn't like my credit card, again Altitude Digital to the rescue!
5 stares for Altitude Digital.

Here's a video after flying out my back yard after 2 days of flying. I'm just starting out.
