The Ecoflow River 2 Max Portable Power Station is the updated version of the River Max. This power station has a LiFePO4 battery. The big advantage of this battery is the long life and the many charging cycles (3000+). In addition, the design has been carefully considered. The first generation consisted of 2 separate parts, whereby the power station was coupled with an extra battery module. The River Max 2 is more efficient and durable with its LiFePO4 battery of 512Wh. By placing the handle on the back of the power station, the power station can be easily carried.

With a battery capacity of 512 Wh and a maximum power of 500W (1000W peak load), this power station is suitable for charging/powering smartphones, tablets, laptops or lighting and household equipment, such as cool boxes.

Thanks to the X-Stream technology, it is possible to fully charge the River 2 Max in just 60 minutes. This means that you no longer have to lose extra time on unexpected trips. In addition, it is also possible to charge the River 2 Max via the supplied 12V car charger, or in combination with solar panels. A maximum of 220 W / 50V can be connected via the solar input together with the MC4 to XT60 cable. During good weather conditions, the charging time is only 3 hours on average.

If you use the EcoFlow app, you can control the River 2 Max from anywhere via WiFi. If you do not have a WiFi network available, you can use the Bluetooth function in the app. Request information about the status and consumption of the Power Station. If you want to adjust settings, you can also do this via the app.

  1. If I use it as a (30ms) UPS & there is an extended power failure which causes the battery to drain & shut off, will it automatically power back on when power is restored? Or will my loads remain off until I manually power-on the unit?
    The product supports EPS. When you connect the grid power to the AC Input Port of the product through an AC cable, you can power electrical devices through the AC Output Port. In case of a sudden blackout, the product can automatically switch to the battery powered supply mode within 30ms.
    Does the EPS switching time apply to the DC outputs. When using only DC output, does it take any time to switch over (aka the 30ms) to battery.
    The EPS function is only for AC input and AC output, which means the AC output will use the battery power when the grid stops. However, the DC output is using the battery power all the time, therefore, there is no switching time for the DC output.

    Are you able to connect 2 ecoflow 110w solar panels in series with river 2 max or does it have to be in parallel?
    You can connect 2 sets of the EcoFlow 110W Portable Solar Panels in either way. However, it is more recommended to connect 2 of them in series as it would provide a higher solar charging efficiency than in parallel.
